Day 3

Day 3 was a huge day!  We started our first day within the parks with a trip to Animal Kingdom.  I had heard that it was best to go there early because that was when the animals were the most active and because of breakfast obligations on other days we decided to start out with a trip on the safari.  We luckily got to get in an hour early during extra magic hours because we were disney resort guests so we beat the lines to the safari ride.  This ride even if we had been in a long line would have been totally worth the wait!!  You load safari vehicles and essentially drive through the habitat of all of the animals.  We got very close to many of the animals and my future zoologist absolutely loved it!  And thanks to the wonderful tip to go first thing in the morning we got to witness a very territorial lion, the guide said he only does it in the mornings, but he put on quite a show for us!

We then got to meet L's first characters, the pooh gang!!  We were so suprised with how much he liked them...as long as it was on his terms he was so excited to go see them!!  Then we went to our first show, Finding Nemo the Musical, which was loved by all--but T's favorite show of the week!

L also loved riding the triceratop spin, another first for him--his first ride!!  We had lots of firsts on this trip!

While T liked finding Nemo, my favorite show of the week was the Festival of The Lion King...it was an amazing show!

After several hours in the sun we decided the best way to keep L happy was to keep his schedule as close to normal as possible, so we decided to still do naps while we were there.  We though he might be able to make it but he passed out on us every day!  So we headed back to the hotel (a nice convenience of staying on the resort) and took a nap before heading into the magic kingdom.  L absolutely loved the monorail and called it the choo choo all week, he cried everytime we got off of it!  We chose a great night to head over to Magic Kingdom, they were doing the SpectroMagic Parade which really wowed L.

We ended the night with fireworks, which L loved those as well, and kepting saying turn on when they were done!!
